Westborough Police Point Laser-Wielding Fire Station Vandal Straight To Jail

Breaking into a fire station is one thing but for one Northborough man the buck didn't stop with just the broken glass – he had to make one other point.

Dispatchers heard a loud crash outside the Westborough Fire Station, located at 42 Milk Street, at 3:20 a.m. on Monday, June 13, the Westborough Fire Department said in a release on Facebook

The dispatchers found a man, later identified as Kevin Tupper, smashing the front doors of the station with an unknown object, fire officials said.

While waiting for police to arrive, Tupper pointed something with a red laser at dispatchers, fire officials added. Tupper then allegedly pointed the same object at police officers.

During his arrest, officers discovered the object was a thermometer. Investigators also learned Tupper previously broke into an on-duty officer's car and stole some of his belongings.

Tupper is facing multiple charges including damaging property, breaking and entering a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.
